Chico's in the City: Connecting with Our Hometown
The first six months of 2022 have truly flown by! Summer is here and there’s no pumping the brakes over here at Chico’s Cheesecakes! Since the beginning of the year, we've hit the ground running, setting up shop to connect with the beautiful people of this Tri-State. Cincinnati is our home, ingrained in our family’s legacy, and continues to pave the way for our company to partner with well-known and innovative local organizations. Needless to say, Chico’s Cheesecakes has been out and about in the city of Cincinnati, connecting with the community while whipping up some delicious cheesecakes along the way!
Building off the momentum of 2021, we brought in the New Year with a BANG, by debuting our wedding display and dessert menu at the 2022 Wendy’s Bridal Show (@wendysbridalsshowcincy) at the Duke Energy Center located downtown Cincinnati. The show pulled no-stops from 360 photo booths to gorgeous bridal gowns to impress the droves of soon-to-be newlyweds scooping out the perfect elements for their special day! We at Chico’s followed suit, leaving impressions with a new community that enjoyed our cheesecakes. People gawked over our Cheesecake Bites and Cheesecake Squares, set in petite domes, along with our elegant Cheesecake Flutes. By the end of the evening, hundreds of samples were served, future consultations were scheduled and connections were made over a single bite of cheesecake!
Thank you to the good folks at Wendy’s Bridal Show and to all the couples that savored their experience. We are grateful for the opportunities to be a part of moments that celebrate the power of love and unity! As we wrapped up with Wendy’s, another venture with one of Cincy’s classic landmarks caught our attention.
If you’ve grown up in Cincinnati, the chances of you never shopping at Findlay Market is highly unlikely. Findlay Market (@findlaymarket) is a wonderland of fresh produces, exotic meats, arts & crafts and delicious local cuisine. So when we announced our partnership with them in March 2022, the excitement and support was abundant! All of our desserts are made in Findlay Kitchen so vending with the market appeared a win-win situation. Majority of Saturday mornings, bright and early, we along with other awesome businesses and farmers construct our mobile shops to serve the beautiful people of Cincinnati. What’s even more fascinating is all the people you meet from different places across the country. So far, folks from Florida, Louisville, Singapore and Detroit have stopped by and tasted the experience of Chico’s Cheesecakes! And check this out, Findlay Market hosts a monthly tasting where patrons can purchase tickets and go to different shops to sample tasty foods while discovering new local business. These tastings are usually held on Sundays and can get pretty jammed-packed yet you’re destined for a great time plus a few goodies along the way! We’ll be there so make sure you stop by and say hi!
And we still weren’t done.
As we all know, due to the restrictions of COVID, the idea of spending time outdoors or amongst a big crowd safely was out of the question so anything related to concerts or festivals was completely shut down. So when the city announced that the Taste of Cincinnati (@tasteofcincinnati) was making its way back this year, we had to get down with the party and become a part of the legacy. Restaurants, caterers, and chefs from all over the Tri-State come together for a three-day festival filled with live music, familiar faces, and amazing food. Being that this was our first year participating, excitement and anticipation kept us going as we prepared for the Taste of Cincinnati. Needless to say, our hard work was not in vain! The love and support we received were beyond our imagination. Our team literally worked non-stop, dishing out cheesecake cups and chatting it up with folks. Not only was the energy magnetic, but our products also flew off the shelves! We sold out three times during the Taste of Cincinnati, ending the evening with over 500 products sold in total on Saturday.
Now that we’re here in the middle of summer, our calendar thankfully remains booked and busy! In addition to our new home at Findlay Market on Saturdays, since June, Chico’s has set up shop each second Sunday downtown on Main Street with the OTR’s Chamber of Commerce Second Sunday on Main Street Festival (tag name). Every Sunday has different themes, celebrating the vibrant and diverse cultures here in Cincinnati. It’s a super dope time no doubt so make sure you make it down before the last festival on October 16th!

We had the pleasure of traveling across the River to celebrate National Mac n’ Cheese Day with Rusty’s Mac n’ Cheese Smackdown and with five months left in the year, who knows what opportunities are bound to come our way!
